Last year we had a good interaction and feedback from the Gargasindi School for disabled children in Calpe when we donated them a table tennis table, some bats and balls, and some softballs to play football , all together for the amount of 500€. On Saturday 7th of May some members of our club participated in a friendly inter-club tournament in El Altet, Alicante. Debby and Sylvia got to the ladys semi-finales but then lost. Never mind, it was fun!

On Monday 21st of December we held our annual Christmas Event in the Calpe Sports Hall. We enjoyed playing badminton and in between games we held a break for a piece of homemade Christmas cake, Spanish cookies (montaditos) with differnt flavours. Another fun evening, but this time we changed the big bowling balls into small golf balls. Afterwards we went for a drink and a meal.
Last April we went to Benidorm to play a different game : bowling. We split up into 2 teams: Rudy, Lawrie, Kris and Angie were the winning team, the not-winning team was Debby, Gail, Lee and Tony. Afterwards we went to an Asian resaurant in Albir. We had lots of fun all evening.
On the 18th of December we put in a little Christmas party in the sports Hall during our badminton session. Despite best efforts, the club team, led by head chef Kris, failed to win at this years paella competition but a great time was had by all. Well done team!
This years competition will be held on Sunday 16th June. A great, fun day out for everyone and all for a good cause. Well worth a visit especially if you haven’t been before.
